I think that the Odas library could also do range calculation if multiple 8soundsUSB or 16soundsUSB units are used. The distance between the units needs to be known in meters. That would have applications for research on marine mammals.

That would need a watertight pod for each unit. If a holder with 45 degrees between each piezoelectric disc is used,and placed on the X axis, and the discs are close to the surface of the hydrophone pod I think that it should be possible to mount the 8sounds in the center + preamps for the piezoelectric disc.

It's sensitivity is around -150 to 160 dB-V//μPa.
