buttons/links not responding

Open CortJstr opened this issue 8 years ago • 8 comments

Starting in the past couple days when I try to click a link within the extension it doesn't respond. I also noticed today that when I try to click the gear for settings that also has no effect. Doing either of these things closes the notifier popup instantly.

The archive button, which I use the most, is working normally, though it sometimes spins for a few seconds. Mark as read works, too.

Firefox 55.0.3, Notifier 0.7.4

I've noticed something similar with recent versions of chrome and opera. Clicks on actions do work if you shift them about 1cm higher and slightly to the left of the button or link. I've noticed the same buggy behaviour in another notifier; so it's most likely due to a recent change in the browser.

This is resolved for me since the 0.8.1 update came out

This issue is back for me with 0.8.3

I'd briefly turned on the new experimental star/label feature but disabled that and restarted my browser but the buttons still don't work. Unlikely before clicking them doesn't immediately close the pop-up but now when I click a button it spins (or says "wait") but doesn't actually mark the item read or archive it.

Firefox 57.0.2 on Windows 7

Did you get the star button in the popup UI?

Please give this new dev version a try on a clean profile and let me know if it works or not https://github.com/inbasic/ignotifier/archive/master.zip

Extract the archive in a local directory. Open "about:debugging" in a browser tab and point the browse button to WebExtension/manifest.json file.

Make sure you are loading the extension on a clean profile. If you prefer the current profile, then remove the "applications" key and its value from the manifest.json, before loading the extension.

I didn't see it. I just tried turning it on again, then closing the options tab, then opening the popup UI but I don't see a star or label.

I wasn't able to try the dev version yesterday but I just updated to 0.8.5 and that fixed my problem.

I spoke too soon. I just visited my Google inbox and realized all the items I "archived" today in Notifier were only marked read, not actually archived (I always keep the mark read when archiving option enabled.)
