I can not duplicate this behaviour. May be this is related to WSL.
As I have explained in [this comment](https://github.com/redhat-developer/vscode-yaml/issues/947#issuecomment-1636191638) I suppose schema store added this filematch mapping which is causing `vscode-yaml` to select the incorrect schema.
