Vessel has changed in the future

Open Zyles opened this issue 11 years ago • 4 comments

Some times out of the blue I get "Vessel has changed in the future". Have not been able to pin point when and why. But it makes me unable to control it, and i have to reconnect to server and find out the vessel is still in orbit or has crashed, depending on my trajectory at that point and how much I had to sync with other players.

If another player sends updates for the vessel in the future, you will be unable to control it until the time has passed. I'll add a timer that says how far in the future it really is ;)

The reason why a resync works is because it sends you to the latest subspace.

What kind of updates? I am the only one controlling it.

I had this problem earlier. It was saying that the vessel I tried to control has been changed in the future, but all players that ever played were online and we were all synced to the same subspace. Reconnecting didn't fix it; a server restart, however, did.

Encountered this tonight. Unfortunately, a server restart didn't help, and we were definitely in sync. This happened after I was controlling a space station while a friend docked (which he then controlled). After un-docking, he got this error message for his original vehicle. The vehicle has been rendered unusable since.

Are there any known workarounds? Anything to manually change in the Universe/Vessels file?
