Colorful Tags for Anki

Brings color and structure to your Anki tags

An add-on for the spaced-repetition flashcard app Anki that allows coloring and pinning your tags. On older Anki revisions that do not support tag hierarchies natively yet, the add-on also provides a hierarchical tags implementation.

Based on Patrice Neff's original Hierarchical Tags and inspired by the coloring and pinning features first introduced with BetterTags.

Installation

AnkiWeb

The easiest way to install Colorful Tags is through AnkiWeb.

Manual installation

Click here to see the instructions

Make sure you have the latest version of Anki 2.1 installed.
Download the latest .ankiaddon package from the releases tab (you might need to click on Assets below the description to reveal the download links)
From Anki's main window, head to Tools → Add-ons
Drag-and-drop the .ankiaddon package onto the add-ons list
Restart Anki

Building

With Anki add-on builder installed:

git clone https://github.com/glutanimate/hierarchical-tags.git
cd hierarchical-tags
aab build
