SMTP sounds like a good place to start, though later we'd want more.

Ahh so more like bamboo where you might have service specific adapters?

That would be good later! I could imagine Midas having opinions about how to send mail too.

For now I think we can scrape by with a low level SMTP library, just to get us going :)
