Node red credentials

Hi When I enter a credentialSecret into settings.js, every time the flows are restarted I have to re-enter all credentials again. Now I set it to false and then it is okay, but I prefer to have it set. Am I doing something wrong? I do have a flows_cred.backup in the same folder as flows_cred.json. Don't know if that makes a difference.
