Export to mbox : mails are not displayed correctly

Open bereldhuin opened this issue 9 years ago • 4 comments

Hi,

I synced and then exported a mailbox to mbox format. I then copy the mbox files in THunderbird (directly in Locale folders or through Import/Export extension).

All the mails and folders are here but mails are not readable : they have no subject, sender is MAILER-DAEMON and date is the date of the mbox file. The body of the mails is also not correct as it shows the source of the mail. image

When exporting the mailbox, gmvault doesn't display any error.

Do you have any idea of how to solve that ? I'm using GMVault 1.9.1 under Windows 7 64 bits.

Thanks,

I got a good mbox export on a Windows 10 machine under linux (gmvault 1.9.1, Ubuntu "Windows subsystem for linux", python 2.7.6). The mbox file worked fine in Thunderbird.

The same gmvault-db creates a bad mbox file when exported using the windows installer version of gmvault 1.9. "bad mbox file" means that over half of the messages just say "MAILER-DAEMON" for the sender.

The gmvault-db in both cases was the same, and was created using the windows installer version of gmvault 1.9.
