At DevCon in Bogotá, we discussed a number of separate points. We need to review those to make sure everything is accounted for.

I went through the solc-tooling channel and found some artifacts from this discussion (beginning here), but doesn't look like I (or anyone else) made a HackMD. There are a couple snippets of note, however (although I don't recall the context in which they were brought up):

  • https://github.com/ethereum/solidity/issues/13157 presents a breakdown of "helpful modifications to the compiler", plus a few interesting questions and a "general plan" established previously on 2022-06-15.
  • https://github.com/ethereum/solidity/issues/12533 doesn't appear directly related to this effort, but from some quick digging, maybe this got raised in the chat because it was a blocker for https://github.com/ethereum/solidity/issues/13720
