branch_symbol is hard-coded

When we are not using patched font, we have to edit segment/vcs_branch.sh, instead of just configuration files.

The symbols are not patched, but your font might not support them. I guess the symbols could be extracted to the config file as well.

I'd also like to be able to configure the branch symbol. The branch icon from vim-airline for example would be nice: (see https://github.com/bling/vim-airline/wiki/screenshots/demo.gif)
