Network locations can't be loaded

They can be read, and the list of files appears, but they go empty (no thumbnails) and clicking on them does nothing. The strange part of all this, is that if you open one single file only directly through the open with menu, it opens that file just fine (but prev/next buttons do nothing as it can't load the other files):
PS: I love qimgv. Replaced entirely other products I had been using for years to accomplish what this beauty can do!
