Thank you for the report! I just addressed this conversion instability in latexml #2309.

The issue should be resolved once the next full ar5iv re-conversion is completed and updated (~1 month from today).

Separately, the article will benefit from latexml support for forest.sty.

And a pgfparse upgrade capable of processing l_sep()+abs(max_y()-min_y())+2*.5\pgflinewidth
