I guess this is something Electron has dealt with then :) Closing this for now, if anyone else is still seeing issue please let me know.

This is actually working as designed as per the design of the Clipboard API (see here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Clipboard). You will need to use HTTPS in order to work with the clipboard...

@pushkin- Yeah I can still reproduce this issue on Electron v14.1.0, unfortunately not a duplicate.
