It would be really helpful to optionally verify a disk after writing by re-reading it and comparing the result with the source file. I've run into an issue with software crashing because a sector was bad but the problem doesn't show up straight away (for example, loading level 2 in a game).

I would like this feature as well. I used an old DD 1Mb disk to write a Mac classic 800Kb boot disk. The first disk i used had some bad sectors which wasn't mentioned at the time of writing. Using an other disk resulted in a happy mac icon and the mac booting of the system disk which i created with fluxengine. Because the floppy disks are most of the time old, a verify option which detects if everything is written correct and/or checks for bad sectors would be useful.
