Reason for removed Edgehandles not clear, willing to contribute.

Hi,

related to #171 I see the eh-handle being removed in v4.0.0 and I don't understand the background of that decision.

I could imagine that with a focus on touch devices over events are not really the same as with pointer devices, nevertheless the handle provides a big benefit for me, and I went to v3.6.0 to have it again - working with tap events to show the handle.

If there's something that could be contributed - or a showstopper which I can't see, I'm happy to hear.
