Link in calendar description for recurring event does not allow reschedulling (only cancelling)
Issue Summary
Recurring events are a great way to book multiple sessions at once, but sometimes it's necessary to reschedule one session in particular.
When a recurring event is booked, multiple calendar entries are added in the booker calendar with the session information (what, when, who and where). There's a "Need to reschedule or cancel? [LINK]" message in the end, that redirects to a page with "Need to make a change? Cancel [LINK]" also in the end. The issue is that link to reschedule is NOT provided in the booking page.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an event type with recurring events
- Visit the booking page and look this event with 2+ sessions
- Look at the calendar invite description on any of the booked sessions and click on the link right after "Need to reschedule or cancel?"
- Look at the booking page
EXPECTED: A link to reschedule the session should be available ACTUAL: Only a link to cancel is provided.
Technical details
The upcoming bookings page has an "Edit > Reschedule booking" action with the expected behavior. A link to do this rescheduling should be available for the booker in the event description sent to his calendar.
Hey @lgomes I can relate to your issue but can you provide a screenshot for the same, Actually I want to work for the same
Sure!
Here's a screenshot of the event description with a link for "cancel or reschedule" in the end.
And here's a screenshot of the booking page without a link to reschedule.
@lgomes Yes I got it So I can Add the Link to Reschedule it , Can You Please assign it to me
This is correct and not a bug, according to the code base. It will not give the user an option to reschedule a recurring event. @PeerRich @Udit-takkar.

The reschedule capability has not been completely removed. It can still be accessed via the menus when logged into the hosts cal account. This is still a bug so have raised a new issue #10524
I have this same bug. I've had to cancel individual sessions and set up a single session booking link for them to rebook. Bit of a convoluted workaround.
