Hi,

I'd like to suggest using some autoformaters on the source code to make it easier for new contributors, and maybe clean up the existing code a little.

• Black
• isort
• autoflake

A further step would be to add type annotations for mypy.

If you're interested I'd be willing to set it all up and create a PR.
