It would be really great to have group masks that would apply the mask effect to every layer within a group

a quick mockup how it could look like

and another thing that would be neat to have would be layer anchor/chain that would allow to do similar thing but just by "anchoring"/"chaining" any layer to a mask of a choice that can be anywhere in the layer stack. another quick mockup of the idea

How is the group masks you propose different from the current group mask feature? It does exactly what you discribe, it applys the mask to every layer in the group (even though I believe this is not the right behavior to have but it should get applied after the layers are merged)

Oh my bad I didn't realized that i can put the mask on top of the group and it will work like that 😅
