Losing all settings and the whitelist

Open onebigmess opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

Since the update to Firefox 66.0.1 ScriptSave loses regularily all settings and the whitelist. Had this issue a few years before, changed to NoScript. Then changed back to ScriptSave and haven't had this problem until Firefox 66. Any idea what may cause the wipe and how to solve the problem?

I've actually had similar issues with other adblocking plugins using Firefox. Wondering if 66 broke something

I have same issue with Whitelist not working with Firefox 66.0.2 (64-bit). I have to re-import the Whitelist to make ScriptSafe activating the whitelist. This can be reproduced every time I open/re-open Firefox.

My OS is Linux Mint 19.1, Linux kernel 4.15.0-47-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Wed Mar 13 10:44:52 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux.

Please let me know if you need any log(s) for debugging.

EDIT: Found a solution. If I logon to Firefox account, in ScriptSafe open options > general settings, enable syncing to sync settings from Firefox account. This will fix the issue.

Same issue here with FF 66.0.3 on macOS Mojave 1014.4.

I've had this issue for a while, not sure if it's since FF 66. Was hoping it was a temporary version bug. Tried NoScript, but I like ScriptSafe much better. Fedora 29 & 30, Ubuntu 18.04 Edit: same issue on Windows 10. No problem on Chrome
