Steps to reproduce

Press pause on bluetooth headphones while playing audiobook.

Occurs with Edifier WH700NB. Behaviour as expected on Shokz OpenRun Pro and JBL Tune Beam. Does not happen with any other app.

Expected behaviour

  • Audiobook should pause

Actual behaviour

  • On some headphones, audiobook pauses, rewinds once, and immediately continues playing

Occurs also with Jabra Elite 10.

Weirdly, sometimes it does not occur. From time to time I will have a listening session in which the earbud controls work normally. This is infrequent enough that I haven't been able to reliably reproduce it. But it seems to happen only after I have been listening for a while (10+ minutes?). Disconnecting the headphones or quitting the app causes the bug to recur.

Update: With the Jabra Elite 10, this appears to be connected to multipoint. If I have the earbuds connected to both the PC and my phone, I get the described behavior. If I disconnect my earbuds from the PC, the behavior no longer occurs until I reconnect to the PC.

Having said that, I definitely recall the bug occurring in some situations that can't be explained by a multipoint connection to my PC. I will see if I can reproduce.

@lachlandcp, can you test the potential multipoint connection with your device?
