Describe the bug The app is using very high CPU like 3-5%, it even goes up to 15 when I start to search.

@lvlzyro from the screenshot I suspect it is the file indexer, can you open Settings -> Files -> File indexer -> Change to Fluent Search indexer, click Uninstall service and then change back to Windows search. Let me know if that helps

I tried it, unfortunately didn't work. Any other suggestions?

@lvlzyro how many Fluent Search instances do you see in the Task manager?

Just one

@lvlzyro did you disable Use GPU in Settings -> System? Also, would you mind trying to install the EXE version and see if it happens there? You can download it from here - https://fluentsearch.net

Use GPU is enabled currently, but let me try to disable it. Then I'll try the exe install and then I'll tell you if it's fixed.

I tried both, but it's sadly still the same.

lvlzyro avatar Aug 19 '22 16:08 lvlzyro

I tried both, it's still around 1% and peaks frequently.

@lvlzyro thanks for testing, if gaming mode doesn't help than I don't have any other solution unfortunately. I will be looking into it for the upcoming version.

No problems, thanks for the help anyway!

i had a similar problem. Is "Screen" --> "Process Screen in background" enabled? If it is, you should disable it

mofoni avatar Aug 20 '22 13:08 mofoni

@mofoni i think it's disabled already. I guess all I can do is to wait @adirh3 to try and fix it.

Not just high CPU usage, the indexer has far too much RAM consumption as well, the indexer def has a resource usage problem image

@lvlzyro, can you please check if it's solved for you in the latest nightly version?
