thanks @raix I don't think it's related to the Chrome bug mention at the end as it happens consistently on Safari and Chrome and it only happens for some images....

@raix here's a couple of screenshots. The first is when things are OK... an then #2 is when it's failed a few seconds later. Not the `initiator` changes from `other`...
