Their [documentation](https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/tweets/data-dictionary/overview/geo-objects.html#coordinates) still specifies the old version. Do you have an example tweet with structure?

Something I've thought about but haven't seriously looked at yet is creating different interfaces for Streaming, REST, Search, etc.
