I've modified the code to handle non-image files. As a test, I drag-and-dropped pdf files from Nautilus to org-mode. Please test to see if more scenarios are needed to work.
You can now drag-and-drop a PDF link from a browser to either `dired-mode` or `org-mode`. Please test and let me know of other ideas to extend this.

What are your OS, Emacs version, and browser?
I think we should check if the images were displayed before the rename.
I don't mind putting it on MELPA eventually, once it's easier to use. Is it already usable in your opinion?
