Non sensor based mode

Open deepu2 opened this issue 1 year ago • 6 comments

First time seeing such an idea. Can there be sperate mode where the movement is not based on sensor data but actually from the screen.

The screen movement can move the mouse cursor relative to it's current position. Mouse buttons can be interpreted from tap and long press.

I guess you mean using the smartphone as sort of an external touchpad? This would certainly be a nice addition as a separate mode, but currently the focus of this project is specifically on the sensor-based implementation. I think there are already a couple of projects that do emulate touchpads though, but I haven't tried any of these yet and cannot give a recommendation.

I'll keep this issue open as this would also be quite interesting implementation-wise. So thanks for your suggestion! I might get back to this one time, but probably not in the near future.

@deepu2 in case you haven't found one yet I recommend you this one: PC Remote Called "PC Remote", and it worked on my smartphone.

I'v tried this one as well but it didn't work: [Link to Play Store] well(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.appground.blek)

+1 for this. All of the other apps I can find on F-Droid require a companion app of some kind instead of just bluetooth like this app. I think it would be a great addition and make the app much more usable in situations where the current accelerometer-based positioning isn’t feasible (or doesn’t currently work).
