Suggestion: option to keep the item clarified rather than simply delete it?
It is often the case that the task items that want to claritfy are meant to be kept where they are.
I looked into the manual but could not find any place to customize this option in 3.3.3 configuration options for org-gtd.

Could you give me an example of a situation where this comes into play for you?
My worldview on GTD is still pretty limited, and the tool is obviously not perfect yet; right now my thinking is "if it is already in the right place then you don't need to clarify it again, maybe you can just edit it directly", but I'm sure I'm missing something, and the way I think about my tasks is, I'm sure, different from the way you want to think about your tasks.
