Steps to reproduce the issue

TranslucentTB give a error after my system crashed

unstall and reinstall was not work my TranslucentTB version is 2023.1.0.0 (Microsoft store)

Expected results

TranslucentTB start working

i think i've found a solution to this problem it looks to me like a windows update caused this problem but i might have found something:

1. Open Notepad and copy the following code into it:

@echo off

taskkill /f /im explorer.exe

taskkill /f /im shellexperiencehost.exe

timeout /t 3 /NOBREAK > nul

del %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\TempState* /q

timeout /t 2 /NOBREAK > nul

start explorer

@echo on

2. Click on File and select Save as.
3. In the Save As window, name the file ClearTileCache.bat.
4. Then, select the location where you want to save the file and click on Save.
5. Navigate to the file you saved in the last step, right-click on it, and select Run as administrator.

After this, your system tray and start menu will disappear so you wont have access to your taskbar or windows key but all you gotta do is ctrl+alt+del and sign out and back in and the taskbar will return to your previous settings.

im writing this about 10 minutes after figuring this out and all is well but i'll come back to you guys if anything goes wrong

I joined the Windows Preview Experience Program and used Beta Channel. I encountered this error after installing the KB5029359 update. I uninstalled TranslucentTB, rebooted and reinstalled it. The software worked fine and the problem did not recur.

It still happens after you turn off the PC and turn it back on, you must run ClearTileCache.bat every time you log in into your PC or TranslucentTB will fail to launch at start up giving the same error every time.

"I encountered this error after installing the KB5029359 update" (then tell us how to uninstall it or disable it) if that what is really causing the problem.

I have solved this problem, but I don't know what happened. I repeatedly uninstalled and downloaded it multiple times to solve it, which is very strange. 我解决了这个问题，但不知道是怎么回事，我重复卸载下载多次就解决了，很奇怪。

I'm not sure about that, but there hasn't had any problems since I worked it out my way.

I found solution for me, i opened WindowsApps folder (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps) and then i found folder called "28017CharlesMilette.TranslucentTB_2023.1.0.0_x64__v826wp6bftszj" and then i opened "TranslucentTB.exe" as administrator from that folder and i didnt get any error. I hope i helped someone!

I uninstalled TranslucentTB, restarted the computer. Reinstalled TranslucentTB. Problem solved.

The WindowApps is a hidden folder, and you need to open 'Hidden Items' in' View '-' Show '. Also, you need administrator privilege to open it.

I Disable start up with windows, close TranslucentTB and then did a shortcut from C:\Program Files\WindowsApps to Desktop then took that shortcut and move it ( windows + Run, type shell:startup and press ok) inside the start up folder of windows. TranslucentTB has (open at boot) disable but since the shortcut is in the start up folder it will start with windows normally.

Uninstall TranslucentTB, restart the computer. Reinstall TranslucentTB.
