String Interpolation is hard in other countries

Open tetra-coder opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Where I live(India), string interpolation in DreamBerd is hard, because I have a keyboard that doesn't have the rupee symbol. While Americans get it easy, every time I do string interpolation in DreamBerd I have to manually copy and paste the rupee symbol because my keyboard doesn't have one. Can you please help so that DreamBerd can get easier for people outside of America?

What is the character for a rupee?

This is the symbol for rupee: ₹ here are the interpolations from different OS/Unicode stuff which may be useful...

what if we made a DreamBerd Keyboard just for this? it could be a regular keyboard, but with a seperate set of keys, like the numpad, but instead called the "currencypad"

the only problem is that it would be way too large, we can save some space from the normal keyboard.

also, yes, I've been waiting this whole time

we could remove all the function keys(F1, F2, etc) because nobody uses them. Seriously, does anyone use Function keys? We can remove Scroll Lock, Pause/Break and Print Sc- actually, let's keep Print Screen. I use it.
