On my laptop (Arch Linux), lapce sits between 0.1%-1.1% cpu usage. I have an i5-1135G7 and 32gb of ram (but lapce only uses 200mb of ram).

I can reproduce this issue on the steam deck

From what I know, the current JIT would have to utilize LLVM instead in order to allow usage on other platforms as the JIT only creates amd64 machine code.

This plugin is super outdated. wouldn't bother.
