I'm not sure what's the reason. Disconnect your device first, then run the script again while disconnected. This works for some devices.

Someone else has [already tried](https://github.com/TheWeirdDev/Bluetooth_Headset_Battery_Level/issues/30#issuecomment-667053732) and apparently succeeded. You might want to ask them for more info.
