Broken after sleep

When I put my MacBook to sleep and wake it a bit later, all texts are gone and the whole bar is black (except the system items). Touching the app icon doesn’t do anything, still stays black.

Confirm that the bug is happening. In fact, I have been encountering it for a while but haven't put time into investigating and fixing it. Thanks for opening an issue, I will look into the problem when I can have more time.
