is it possible to use/install this library without having to do the compile?

Hi I just have a question, sorry if this is misplaced. But is it possible to simply install the library and use it without forcing a compile? the main pages seems to indicate this, but it's definitely trying to run a compile when i do npm install x509

I don't have any need to build/run this from source and i don't have the option to install all of these build tools on our CI servers.
