@eladyn I haven't done proper testing yet, but my guess is that the behavior is independent of the client.

just found this project and faced the same issue. it _can_ actually handle global gitignores, but it does not list them with the `-types` flag, unfortunately.

@spacecat just prepend `Global/` or others e.g. instead of: ``` $ npx gitignore macOS There is no gitignore for MacOS Available project types can be found by running `gitignore -types`...

Having the exact same issue, disabling auto-hide on losing focus is a workaround, but it is not ideal. Thanks for this app by the way!
