Implicits are a core feature of Scala, and using them reasonably is a good practice. @alexandru gives some good examples of this. Please close this non-issue.

Yes, realistically, I do not have the time resources to engage here more fully. For now, I keep my adapted version which works fine. That notwithstanding, it would be great...
