Rocket.Chat Version: latest <Docker> Running Instances: single

It would be nice to get the ability to collapse snippets. Possibly also large messages.

This feature is very necessary. Developers exchange large code blocks and messages becomes unreadable. It blocks introduction.

Collapseable snippet is a must for large chunks of code.

Our team could certainly use this. Perhaps it can be implemented as part of the work on Threads RocketChat/Rocket.Chat#1112 ?

@tezukzai, @sampaiodiego can I take this up?

absolutely @supra08 .. thanks :smiley:

@sampaiodiego, the messages don't have complete markdown support. So the collapsible markdown might not be possible. Instead of that, should I use just js and include a down arrow to view the full message?

Hey, Can you assign me on this one?

More than 5 years have passed since this ticket was opened and there is still no support of collapsible blocks in rocket chat...

Would love to see that feature!

People are used to uploading their paste buffers as files no? This is really what we're asking for. I fail to see how development teams can communicate effectively otherwise... I also think a new "discussion" is too cumbersome for this use-case.
