CD musc does not work

As the title reads.

it will be better to implement to read tracks in mp3 or ogg format

1 year later and still no CD music.......

Tracks are delivered in FLAC format for ChasmPortable and the remastered steam version of Chasm The Rift Demo. The csm.bin format changed to posix tar. Chasm-Reverse CD music needs SDL-Mixer-X or OpenAL integration of FLAC loading streaming music.

Uh, it's half way though 2023 now. I haven't messed with this source port in a couple years but logic would dictate those files come packaged with the project download to begin with. Either way, as you mentioned the "remastered" version of the game does everything this port attempted to do/is full festured, doesn't require tricks for basic functions to work, isn't broken on AMD cards and routinely on sale on GOG for cheap. These facts combined with the lack of progress and the devs failure to address major problems at all much less in any reasonable time frame has rendered it irrelevant.

It would have been a useful improvement to play the game on modern systems with modern standards in say 2020 but today, why bother?
