The product that set its pricing mode to Optional Donation will be tippable but pressing No thanks, just bring me to downloads directs user to another page where the download links are. The product won't be saved to history unless of course, gamers tipped it

The product that set its pricing mode to Paid must be paid in order to obtain the product and has no skip to download links. However, the product can also be tipped by paying more than list price if gamers chose to. Either normal or extra tip purchased product will be saved to history.

all products are DRM free by design, and will no need some sort of marketplace daemon / background app required to be installed just to run the purchased / downloaded product. Infact you just make the app without requiring to implement anything weird, and publish the exe / binaries right away. You buy, download, and execute / open. Keep in mind however, there are chances of nasty developers who put DRM that checks optional itch.io client running & has legit purchase in your itch account, e.g. those who uses this nasty plugin to check itch legit purchase. Again, this DRM is not officially endorsed by Itch themselves I suppose, and the chance of this happening is usually as thick as an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Yeah, you put that in, good luck facing hates from around the world, not just Stallman.

Publisher & Itch official may held bundles, filled with products in one packages which customer can purchase that allows customer to obtain multiple products inside the bundles at once. Sometimes Itch also held bundle for causes, organizations, & charities which typically contains whole bunch of great softwares, games, digital books, assets, and more.

Some product may have community copies features which essentially is a take me for free box. customer that are lucky that sees it available may push the claim copy button so they can have such product for $0 instead of paying it. The community copies has limited amount, although it can be refilled for 1 copy by another generous customer who set the purchase that put the copy into the box.
