@Steven-Harris try to see if the React version made some updates we can use here.

I've updated the library to the same code as the original React one. It should work now.

I didn't use DI and chose pure exported functions to benefit from tree-shaking. By doing so, each lambda bundles the minimum it needs.

Try to find the issue in the original React package.

Should work in v6.0
