If this problem is in the underlying operating system, why is Skype affected and not other applications ?
[Enter feedback here] I think this is a great explanation about how Windows manages memory and the challenges for memory management under its premises. What I do not see in this page is an explanation about how Skype is different to other applications that does not have this problem. Is the problem specific to Skype, or does any application kept open for a period of time suffers from this problem?
I have always running in the background OneDrive, Dropbox, Zoom, Teams, OpenVPN GYI, Forticlient and others, but Skype (and Chrome) are the only ones needing to close and restart.
Not even visual studio has this problem.
