Seems that the bug from https://github.com/MacDownApp/macdown/issues/253 has come back in the latest build from master.

I get nasty flickering from the preview pane any time I type a keystroke.

Here's a demo video.

This is on a build of master as of today (March 13, 2019) on Mojave 10.14.3

This also happens to me. Just updated to Catalina.

@Nexuist FYI: This bug is for the current master branch (or the master tip when the bug was reported). If you are talking about latest stable release, please see #1104. I will leave both open before further investigation.

Have the same problem. Is it being working one already?

Same problem here, it's been so annoying that I'm going to need to switch editors.

I'm also having this problem! A temporary solution is to turn off automatic updating of the preview (then you can use command+R to update it), but the there really needs to be a permanent fix for this problem.

I just installed on fresh Catalina, and I have the problem.

Same issue, fresh MacDown install, 11.0.1. Update: I tried the latest release v0.7.3 and the issue remains.

Using Typora in the meantime, which allows me to switch between text/render with Cmd-/.

Mine isn't quote as extreme as OP, and not on every keystroke, but enough to force me to hide the preview pane.

Same issue, downgraded to version 0.7.1 for now and the preview pane is stable

Still an issue on the latest 0.7.3 download
