Dashes behaving differently when typing

Describe the bug For horizontal slides, when I type three dashes, its getting printed in the document as

—

instead of

--- (This I copy pasted from documentation)

Same problem with vertical slides.

Due to this the slides isn't rendering PPT accordingly.
