**WIP for #282 **

Description

I've spent some time hacking together an idea for this to better explain what I wanted.

  • Nothing is wired in or working but this hopefully gives someone a starting point to work from.

Review focus

Do not merge! - This is a W.I.P PR that I wanted to create just to illustrate my idea. Everything needs to be wired in and sorted out as I'm not very familiar with the project.
