hi, for some reason switching layouts here does not work: Screenshot_20220226-065648_1 no matterwhat unexpected layout i choose, it does not change

That's because you chose a layout in the settings, which takes precedence over what you chose in the popup. This clearly need to be improved, thanks for reporting !

In the meantime, the only solution is to select "system settings" in the layout option.

thanx, now i feel like totally dumb... ;-)

Not your fault! This option is dumb and its behavior isn't even documented.

Layout setting confuses. Could you add a separate button for layout switching, please? Like on AnySoftKeyboard or AOSP keyboard for example. Should I open a separate issue for this?

i like the idea of swiping through layouts using space key like Hackers Keyboard, but then without autocorrection (which is a pita in most cases anyway) there is no need for me to switch at all, for others there may be...

I'd prefer to use swipe on space key for cursor movement: https://github.com/Julow/Unexpected-Keyboard/issues/7#issuecomment-1053701619

It has been possible to specify several layouts in the settings since several releases. The switching key is up and down on the space bar.

But the issue persist, the keyboard switching menu shows Unexpected Keyboard for several languages but clicking do not switch layout.
