This probably isn't the best place to ask, but I thought I may as well :P

Hello Kitty Online is a former MMO that got shutdown in 2017. Back in 2009, the server software was leaked. Unfortunately, the server is ancient. It looks like it was meant for Windows Server 2003 and MySQL 4.0 or older. This gives problems when trying to run it on Win 10/Server 2019 as it's so ancient.

Would you be interested in trying to recreate the server? Maybe in .NET Core or something else cross-platform? That way, a minimal ubuntu server could be set up to support it. If you're interested, we can talk further.

I remember downloading the Hello Kitty MMO beta once. I could not get it to run on my PC back in the day, I cannot recall why.

I don't know much about the game but if you have the source, and it's in C#/.NET, then it shouldn't be too hard to setup.

Oh, I don't have the source. I was suggesting that it could be remade in .net core.

I have the server software and the client themselves though.
