CoC Should Protect Radical Feminists
As a radical feminist, I believe women are oppressed on the basis of their biology, and that gender is a social construct. Accordingly, I reject the term 'cis' and cannot, in good conscience, pretend as if it were possible for a man to be a woman.
The Contributor Covenant does not, in its current state, seem to protect my right to hold these beliefs. Please add a clause explicitly stating that women shall not be compelled to use speech that denies their own biological reality, and that they shall not be retaliated against for declining to use preferred pronouns.
Without such a clause, the Contributor Covenant is in effect a barrier to participation by women, particularly those who choose not to be spoken for by men, however those men may identify.
As a professional software developer and a woman who has been contributing to Free and Open Source Software for over 15 years, I have never felt so unwelcome.
Please address.
First off, you say that gender is merely a social construct, yet you follow that up with a mentality that does not indicate that. If gender were merely a social construct, how could you not "pretend" that a person who underwent surgery to change their gender is still their old gender? Please clarify that point.
Second, where is "... women shall not be compelled to use speech that denies their own biological reality... " even coming from? Also, could you please elaborate upon this and "... women are oppressed on the basis of their biology... ", ideally with examples included.
"... they shall not be retaliated against for declining to use preferred pronouns." simply circles back to my first point in this comment.
And is "... spoken for by men... " referring to your first paragraph?
I think I should mention that they also created the account to say this, and have not used the account since, I'm possibly a bit of a hypocrite as I also only use github rarely as I haven't had any projects that need it in years, but I find it rather telling and indicative of trolling
Well... That's lovely.
I have to concur with those above. I don't personally believe this issue has any precedence or any legitimate reason for concern. My take on the current copy is that of the first paragraph:
In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in our project and our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
This, in its own right makes clear that everyone, regardless of any varying characteristic is welcome.
I move to see this issue closed with no further action.
@PeteBishwhip I concur.
I concur with this @PeteBishwhip. Additionally, I have reported both @Cradamy and @ChristinaAPerez for violating the ToS and the Community Guidelines for Github. I think it raises an interesting issue. Perhaps there should be a clause added to the CoC explicitly stating that it does not protect discriminatory behavior?

@gideongrinberg Please open a new issue for this or let me know if you'd like me to try my best at writing it up
I would like to add Paradox of Tolerance as a keyword for the new issue.
