created a PR to add node 16 and serverless 3 compatibility

I've created a PR that adds Node 16 compatibility and extends the schema for serverless 3 compatibility. Would love to see this get merged in (version needs bumping, but i'm unsure on how you version things)

Schema actually seems to cause an error, i need to debug why (unless anyone can see it obviously, i notice there's another PR with a schema update, but doesn't add node 16 haven't tried to see if that works yet myself)

Hi @JaredAAT! Unfortunately, we are no longer actively maintaining this repository. We are going to update it as deprecated and add instructions in case anyone wants to continue to develop the plugin. Thanks!

@JaredAAT given your PR is likely not going to be added/merged, what approach have you taken instead? Keen to hear what others use instead of this plugin.
