I noticed that the last release here was in May. I think if this repo had some build automation configured, it would be easier for people to try out the latest and greatest.

Do you have an example of all the commands used to produce the .zip files in the releases section of this project?

Same. I wanted to test/tweak the missing Geary styles, but noticed that I couldn't build from source.
