HELIX and SD card push memory usage over maximum

With SDCARD, DEC_HELIX, and BLUETFT defined, program size becomes 1,345,729 bytes (of 1,310,720 maximum), Is it possible to use defines to remove other capabilities (such as rotary encoder, shift register support, IR support, etc.) in order to bring the program size down?
