At the moment there are multiple settings that are given to a user during deployment of an instance via WHMCS, including Start, Stop, Restart, Update and Manage. We wish to make it so that new deployments don't have the Update button (as it confuses clients). Currently it is not possible to set those default permissions.

Allow us to set exactly what permissions a new/existing user gets when an instance is deployed for them.

If you add a permission of -Instances.*.Update to the customer role, this will achieve the desired result.

Was there any updates on this one?

Not currently. I’m unaware of the permission setting that Mike is noting here as it’s not something we can do in the WebUI
