Bug Report
Target ADS loses license after restart/reboot
System Information
- Operating System (Including distribution name and version number) Ubuntu 20.04.5
- AMP version and build date (Always use the version number, 'latest' is not valid!) 2.4.1.2
- Which AMP release stream you're using (Mainline, Nightly or FastTrack) Mainline
I confirm:
- [x] that I have searched for an existing bug report for this issue.
- [x] that I am using the latest available version of AMP.
- [x] that my operating system is up-to-date.
Symptoms
- What are you trying to do? Restart ADS on a system that is licensed
- What are you expecting to happen? ADS reboot with no issue
- What is actually happening? ('Nothing' is not an acceptable answer!) ADS will restart and there's a high chance it will lose its license in the process. There is no indication that this is an issue beforehand.
Reproduction
Restart ADS See license is gone
This appears to be fixed in the latest update.
This is still consistently happening. Experiencing this issue at least once every 3-4 restarts, and these restarts are required to solve other problems that affect enterprise functionality
Reopening issue due to licenses dropping on enterprise instances of latest mainline 2.4.3.2
This happened to me on 2.4.6.4 after a restart.
This is fixed in the latest development release. Mike has introduced a new licensing system API that allows refreshing the license on startup and expiration while running.
